Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 36-2901 to expand the definition of "physician" to include those licensed pursuant to title 32, chapter 14 (naturopathic physicians).

Changes the definition of "primary care practitioner" to use the term "licensed" instead of "certified" for nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives.

Amendment becomes effective only if the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approves doctors of naturopathic medicine as service providers on or before October 1, 2028.

Amendment would take effect September 30 of the year following CMS approval.

Requires AHCCCS administration to notify the Arizona legislative council by November 1, 2028 whether CMS approved or rejected the request to recognize naturopathic physicians.
