Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 13-2412 to include petty offenses in addition to crimes as grounds for lawful detention and requiring identification.

Expands the requirement for a detained person to provide their true full name and date of birth when requested by a peace officer during lawful detention based on reasonable suspicion of a crime or petty offense.

Specifies that a person detained under this section may only be required to provide their name and date of birth, and cannot be compelled to answer any other inquiries from a peace officer.

Violation of the identification requirement remains classified as a class 2 misdemeanor.
