Requires inspections of smoke dampers and fire dampers in fire protection systems to comply with standards established by nationally recognized standards developing organizations in cities, towns, and counties.

Authorizes the state forester and state fire marshal to provide certified inspectors and resources to assist local authorities with fire damper and smoke damper inspections upon request.

Applies to fire protection system inspections conducted pursuant to building codes or fire codes adopted by cities, towns, and counties.

Requires each city, town, and county that has adopted a fire code to enforce these inspection requirements on or before January 1, 2026.
