HB 2329 Summary

• Department of Health Services shall submit reports to the governor, speaker of the house, and president of the senate by December 31, 2025 and June 30, 2026 regarding health care directives registry operations and usage metrics.

• Reports must include total individual accounts, new accounts created, document uploads, subscriber organizations, active users, participant searches, document processing time, and year-over-year growth data.

• Department shall provide copies of all required reports to the Secretary of State.

• $500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Department of Health Services for operation of the health care directives registry.

• The reporting requirement repeals on December 31, 2026.
