Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-1105 to add a new category of first degree murder involving the intentional or knowing killing of a law enforcement officer in the line of duty.

First degree murder of a law enforcement officer is classified as a class 1 felony punishable by death or natural life imprisonment if the offender is 18 years of age or older.

Defines "law enforcement officer" using the same definition prescribed in section 38-1112.

Applies the enhanced penalty (death or natural life) specifically to murders committed under this new provision, distinguishing it from other first degree murder penalties which allow life imprisonment instead of natural life.
