Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 11-531 to establish three specific qualifications for county attorneys: must be an attorney at law, must be licensed and in good standing in Arizona, and must have been admitted to practice law in Arizona for at least five years before taking office.

Requires the board of supervisors to withhold salary from any person serving as county attorney who does not meet the prescribed eligibility requirements.

Includes a grandfather clause allowing persons currently serving as county attorney on the effective date of the act to continue serving until their current term expires, regardless of whether they meet the new qualifications.
