Authorizes the director of the Department of Water Resources to bring legal actions to protect and enforce Arizona's rights under the Colorado River Compact of 1922, including compact calls and curtailment proceedings.

Appropriates $1,000,000 from the long-term water augmentation fund to the Department of Water Resources in fiscal year 2024-2025 for purposes of this act.

Exempts the appropriation from lapsing provisions until June 30, 2026.

The authorization and appropriation expire on June 30, 2026.

Designated as an emergency measure effective immediately.
