State Department of Corrections shall conduct a comprehensive study on converting the Marana prison site into a transitional facility for inmates scheduled for release within 60 days.

Study must evaluate the feasibility of establishing a transitional skills program at the Marana site and connecting inmates to additional transitional services.

Study must identify current available resources and determine what additional state resources are needed to establish and operate the transitional facility and program.

Department of Corrections must submit a report with study findings and recommendations to the Governor, President of the Senate, and Speaker of the House by June 1, 2026.

This requirement is repealed on June 30, 2026.
