• Policies must include procedures enabling parents to contact students during the school day and students to contact parents during the school day.

• Schools must distribute copies of adopted policies to parents, teachers, and students at the beginning of each school year and notify them of any policy changes.

• "School day" includes all periods when students are at school (meals, passing periods, recess); "wireless communication devices" includes both personal and school-provided devices.
