• Allows physical therapists to order musculoskeletal imaging consisting of plain film radiographs, with imaging performed by authorized health care practitioners and interpreted by physicians licensed in radiology.

• Requires physical therapists to report imaging test results to the patient's health care practitioner of record or referring practitioner within seven days of receiving results.

• Mandates physical therapists refer patients to appropriate health care practitioners if the patient lacks a practitioner of record and the therapist has reasonable cause to believe symptoms may require services beyond the physical therapist's scope of practice.

• Restricts physical therapist imaging orders to patients with whom they have an established physical therapist-patient relationship and only when there is a clinical need for the order.
