Permits dealers to query the Department of Public Safety portal only when a person presents a concealed weapons permit while purchasing or receiving a firearm.

Mandates background checks if a concealed weapons permit is found to be invalid.

Prohibits the Department of Public Safety from retaining or collecting data on the number of permit verification queries made by firearms dealers.

Appropriates $300,000 from the school safety interoperability fund in fiscal year 2025-2026 to the Department of Public Safety for developing and maintaining the secure website portal.
