Prohibits employers, labor organizations, and apprenticeship/training programs from discriminating against individuals based on protective hairstyles, race, or ethnicity.

Defines "protective hairstyle" to include braids, locks, and twists of any length.

Expands definition of "race or ethnicity" to include ancestry, color, ethnic group identification, ethnic background, hair texture, and protective hairstyles as historically race-associated traits.

Prohibits nursery, elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate private schools and other educational institutions from discriminating based on protective hairstyles, race, or ethnicity.

Applies the same definitions of "protective hairstyle" and "race or ethnicity" to educational settings as to employment settings.
