Department of Transportation must simultaneously transmit voter registration information directly to both the Secretary of State and the county recorder where the registrant resides, rather than routing information through the Secretary of State.

Department of Transportation must send all voter registration information collected at driver license offices—including name, address, date of birth, and digitized signature—to the appropriate county recorder within five business days of receiving a completed application, renewal request, or registration revision.

Department of Transportation may still provide voter registration information to the Secretary of State for purposes other than those specified in the bill's direct transmission requirement.

Section does not diminish or alter the Secretary of State's duties under state or federal law regarding voter registration and election administration.

Effective date is December 31, 2025.
