Department of Child Safety and Department of Education shall identify or develop a statewide child sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention program by July 1, 2026.

Program must include teacher training modules on prevention, identification, and response to child sexual abuse and assault, plus resources for students, teachers, and parents.

Student materials must be age-appropriate for kindergarten through grade 12 and cover recognition of abuse, boundary violations, disclosure strategies, and bystander intervention.

Each public school must implement the statewide program by October 1, 2026, with a uniform response policy, reporting procedures, intervention options, and counseling resources.

Parents or legal guardians may exempt their child from participating in the program or any portion of it through written notification to the school.
