HB 2801 Summary

• Establishes the technology study committee consisting of 17 members with assistive technology expertise, appointed by the Senate President (6 members) and House Speaker (11 members)

• Committee shall meet at least two times per year to study assistive technology issues, analyze emerging technologies, and identify ways to better serve individuals with assistive technology needs

• Members receive no compensation, except those appointed by the House Speaker are eligible for expense reimbursement under Arizona law

• Committee must submit a report to the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker, and Secretary of State on or before October 1, 2026, detailing activities and recommendations
