• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes sections 36-540 and 36-541 regarding court-ordered mental health treatment.

• Adds new subsection D to section 36-541 specifying that time spent in jail or prison shall be excluded when computing the number of inpatient treatment days available to a patient under court order.

• Makes conforming amendment to section 36-540, subsection F to reference the new limitation in section 36-541, subsection D.

• Effective upon the Governor's approval on May 13, 2025.
