House Resolution honoring Alberto Gutier, former Director of the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety, who died on November 2, 2024 at age 84.

Gutier served over 20 years as Director of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety and created the public safety campaign "Drive Hammered, Get Nailed" and other innovative highway safety programs.

Gutier served as Republican Party committeeman for 50 years, worked under seven Arizona Governors, and served as Sergeant at Arms for the Arizona Republican Party for 22 years.

Gutier was selected in 2016 as one of eleven Arizona electors to the Electoral College for President-elect Donald J. Trump.

House Members express sincere regret at Gutier's passing and extend condolences to his surviving family, including his wife of 64 years, five children, 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
