• Adds section 16-531.01 authorizing county election officers to appoint prospective jurors as temporary election board workers and determine their eligibility and willingness to serve in designated positions.

• Allows temporary election board workers to receive required training through web-based modules or other electronic means at the county election officer's discretion.

• Requires county election officers to notify jury commissioners when temporary election board workers complete their service duties.

• Permits jury commissioners to offer qualified jurors the option to fulfill jury service obligations by serving as temporary election workers for primary and general elections, with names submitted to county election officers at least 90 days before the general election.

• Adds new grounds for juror excusal for persons who served as election board workers (inspector, marshal, judge, or clerk) within 180 days immediately preceding receipt of the jury summons, upon providing proof from the county.
