Senate Bill 1307 - Advanced Air Mobility Infrastructure

• Establishes definitions for advanced air mobility aircraft including electric conventional takeoff and landing (eCTOL), electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL), and powered lift aircraft used for passenger or cargo transportation in urban or regional areas.

• Requires the Department of Transportation to develop or update the statewide aviation plan by September 1, 2026, to include public vertiports and electric aircraft charging stations in consultation with political subdivisions, commercial air carriers, and the Federal Aviation Administration.

• Directs the department to designate a person with advanced air mobility expertise to serve as a resource for local and regional jurisdictions implementing advanced air mobility infrastructure and electric aircraft systems.

• Allows political subdivisions to establish locations for public and private vertiports and electric aircraft charging infrastructure in compliance with applicable federal aviation and safety standards.

• Requires the authority to provide educational materials to local and regional jurisdictions on the benefits of electric powered lift aircraft and advanced air mobility systems.
