Amends section 41-1279.03 of Arizona Revised Statutes to add a new duty requiring the auditor general to conduct performance audits of state agencies and political subdivisions receiving taxpayer monies upon request by the joint legislative audit committee.

Authorizes the auditor general to determine whether agencies and political subdivisions receiving taxpayer monies are meeting the required terms and conditions for receiving those funds.

Makes technical corrections to existing auditor general duties, including clarifying language regarding county transportation excise tax recipients and cooperation requirements.

Maintains existing auditor general powers including conducting financial audits, special audits, and performance audits of school districts and transportation excise tax programs.
