AZ SB1349

Prohibits software licensing contracts entered into by public agencies from restricting the agency's ability to install or run software on hardware of the agency's choosing.

Applies to software applications designed to run on generally available desktop or server hardware.

Defines "public agency" to include the state, Arizona Board of Regents, cities, charter cities, counties, districts, public authorities, and other political subdivisions of Arizona.

Takes effect for any contract or addendum entered into from the effective date of the act forward.
