Removes requirement that state environmental laws and rules be consistent with and not more stringent than corresponding federal law (repeals former Section 49-104(A)(16))

Directs the Department of Environmental Quality to establish drinking water aquifer water quality standards for perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), chromium-6, 1,4-dioxane, and other perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)

Requires the department to review standards adopted by other states, peer-reviewed science, and government agency studies when developing the new drinking water standards, with annual reviews of latest scientific evidence

Standards must be protective of public health including vulnerable populations such as pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants, and children

Expands the petition process for adopting numeric drinking water aquifer quality standards for new pollutants detected in Arizona's drinking water aquifers
