Appropriates $10,000,000 from the state general fund and $18,768,700 in expenditure authority to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System Administration in fiscal year 2025-2026 for graduate medical education programs.

Funds address the state's shortage of physicians and may be used for direct and indirect costs of graduate medical education programs and start-up costs for new residency programs.

State general fund appropriation may supplement, but cannot replace, voluntary payments made by political subdivisions to hospitals operating graduate medical education programs.

Appropriations are exempt from the standard lapsing of appropriations provision under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-190.
