AZ SB1682

Requires the Arizona Department of Corrections director to provide educational or vocational programs to all inmates, notwithstanding any other law.

Prohibits the director from adopting policies or rules that exclude inmates sentenced to natural life or life without the possibility of parole from any educational or vocational programs.

Removes the restriction that prevented education services budget funds from being spent on programs for prisoners sentenced to death, life imprisonment, or classified as maximum custody.

Maintains exception allowing education funding for prisoners under 18 years old and prisoners with disabilities under 22 years old, regardless of sentence classification.
