AZ SB1710

Establishes the Mental Health Services for Veterans Grant Program administered by the Department of Veterans' Services to support community mental health programs serving veterans with mental illness.

Department shall establish eligibility criteria for grant applicants, acceptable uses of grant funds, and reporting requirements for recipients.

Awards program monies on a competitive basis directly to private entities that provide services and treatment to veterans with mental illness.

Appropriates $2,000,000 from the state general fund in each of fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to the department for the grant program.

Makes the appropriation exempt from lapsing provisions under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-190.
