SB 1745 Summary

• Counties with populations under 250,000 (per 2020 census) may use revenues from any source to meet county fiscal obligations in fiscal year 2025-2026, with a cap of $1,250,000 for non-designated purposes.

• Counties using alternative revenue sources must report to the director of the joint legislative budget committee by October 1, 2025, specifying which revenue sources and amounts they intend to use.

• Gila County may use appropriated monies from Laws 2023, chapter 133, section 94 (originally for a veterans retreat) to establish and operate facilities providing services to veterans.
