Ratifies the Equal Rights Amendment (House Joint Resolution 208) proposed by Congress on March 22, 1972, which guarantees equality of rights under law shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex.

Establishes that Section 1 of the amendment prohibits the United States or any State from denying or abridging equality of rights based on sex.

Grants Congress power to enforce the amendment's provisions through appropriate legislation.

Directs the Arizona Secretary of State to transmit a copy of the resolution to the President of the United States Senate and Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

Amendment becomes effective two years after ratification.
