AZ HB2013

Requires the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to submit an exceptional event demonstration to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency when wildfires occur on federally managed land that affect Arizona's air quality.

Amends existing law regarding substantive policy statements for identifying air quality exceptional events, which must consider Arizona's unique geological, geographical, and climatological conditions.

Adds wildfire-related provisions to the department's existing duties for state air pollution control under Arizona Revised Statutes section 49-424.

Exceptional event demonstrations are used to exclude air quality monitoring data affected by wildfires from regulatory determinations, potentially helping areas avoid nonattainment designations.
