Authorizes charter school governing bodies to designate the highest-ranking officer responsible for campus safety decisions to modify weapons detection systems without prior governing body approval

Requires any officer who modifies a weapons detection system under this authority to report the modification to the governing body within 24 hours

Prohibits governing bodies from authorizing any other individual besides the designated safety officer to modify weapons detection systems without prior approval

Applies the same weapons detection system modification authority to school district governing boards under parallel provisions in Arizona Revised Statutes 15-341
