Legislators requesting to review Department of Child Safety (DCS) case files may now choose to access the records at a secure location within a legislative chamber, in addition to the existing option of reviewing files at a DCS office.

The bill amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 8-807, which governs DCS information confidentiality and disclosure requirements.

The change allows legislators conducting oversight to review sensitive child welfare case files without traveling to DCS offices while maintaining security protocols for confidential information.

All existing confidentiality requirements and restrictions on further disclosure of DCS information remain in effect.
