Legislator salaries would be set equal to county supervisor salaries under Arizona Revised Statutes section 11-419, subsection A, effective January 1, 2027.

Removes the Commission on Salaries for Elective State Officers from having jurisdiction over legislative salaries.

Eliminates the current requirement that legislative salary recommendations be submitted to voters at general elections for approval.

Legislators would continue to receive reimbursement for travel and subsistence expenses for attending sessions and other approved legislative matters.

The act is contingent on voter approval of a related constitutional amendment (House Concurrent Resolution) at the next general election.
