Removes the prohibition on requiring contractors to participate in or contribute to apprenticeship programs registered with the U.S. Department of Labor for public works contracts.

Currently, Arizona law prohibits state agencies and political subdivisions from requiring apprenticeship program participation as a condition of bidding, negotiating, or performing public works contracts.

The bill amends Section 34-321 of Arizona Revised Statutes, which governs public works contracts and prohibited agreements related to labor requirements.

Other existing prohibitions remain intact, including restrictions on requiring project labor agreements, collective bargaining agreements, or neutrality agreements with labor organizations.
