Requires superintendents to immediately notify law enforcement of life-threatening violence incidents and confiscate (or designate administrators to confiscate) dangerous instruments or deadly weapons on school property

Prohibits retaliation against anyone reporting violations and requires annual public safety reports on school district websites detailing lockdowns, weapon incidents, and law enforcement referrals from the prior three years

Establishes class 1 misdemeanor penalties for superintendents who knowingly or intentionally violate notification requirements and for governing board members who fail to adopt compliant policies or engage in retaliation
