Brauer moved to Arizona in 1983, attended Arizona State University, and worked as a realtor for over 20 years

Served as President of the Willo Neighborhood Association, advocating for neighborhood, city, and state policies

Survived by his husband of ten years, Andrew Sansoni, his mother Sally Brauer, siblings, and other family members
