AZ SB1055

Requires law enforcement to immediately notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Customs and Border Protection when an unlawfully present alien is arrested for any state or local law violation, expanding existing notification requirements beyond conviction.

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 11-1051 regarding cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.

Maintains existing requirements that any arrested person must have their immigration status verified with the federal government before release.

Preserves civil penalties of $500 to $5,000 per day against any state or local entity that limits immigration law enforcement below what federal law allows.

Continues to prohibit consideration of race, color, or national origin in immigration enforcement except as allowed by the U.S. or Arizona Constitution.
