Lowers the threshold amount of fentanyl triggering enhanced sentencing for sale offenses from 200 grams to 9 grams under Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-3408

First-time offenders convicted of selling at least 9 grams of fentanyl face a minimum 5 years, presumptive 10 years, and maximum 15 calendar years in prison

Repeat offenders previously convicted of selling at least 9 grams of fentanyl face a minimum 10 years, presumptive 15 years, and maximum 20 calendar years in prison

Maintains the existing 200-gram threshold for enhanced penalties related to possession of fentanyl in a motor vehicle with intent to sell

Persons convicted under this section must pay a fine of at least $2,000 or three times the value of the narcotic drugs involved, whichever is greater
