Adds "dangerous offense" (as defined in section 13-105) to the list of convictions that disqualify inmates from participating in Arizona's prison transition program, which provides up to 90 days of community-based transition services before release.

Previously convicted inmates of dangerous offenses would also be excluded from the transition program pathway available to those convicted of drug possession offenses.

Current exclusions for violent crimes, sexual offenses, and crimes against children remain in place; the bill expands restrictions to encompass the broader "dangerous offense" category.

The transition program provides eligible inmates with services including substance abuse treatment, job placement, education, counseling, and case management prior to release.
