Political sign protection period extended to begin 71 days before the first day early ballots may be mailed, rather than 71 days before the election itself

Removes, alters, defaces, or covers political signs during the protected period remains a class 2 misdemeanor

Cities, towns, and counties prohibited from removing compliant political signs in public rights-of-way during the extended protection period

Signs must meet existing requirements: maximum 16 square feet in residential zones or 32 square feet elsewhere, include candidate/committee contact information, and not obstruct safety or ADA compliance

Declared an emergency measure, taking effect immediately upon passage
