AZ SB1182

Authorizes Arizona school districts and charter schools to incorporate historically accurate instruction on the history, contributions, and civic participation of historically underrepresented communities into their social studies, civics, U.S. history, or Arizona history courses.

Defines "communities that have been historically underrepresented" to specifically include Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.

Makes this curriculum addition optional rather than mandatory for schools.

Adds new section 15-701.05 to Title 15, Chapter 7, Article 1 of Arizona Revised Statutes relating to school curricula.
