AZ SB1271

Prohibits Arizona municipalities from imposing fines or penalties on businesses based on the number or frequency of requests for police, fire, or emergency services, or based on the value of stolen or damaged property belonging to the business.

Creates an exception allowing municipalities to penalize businesses if their emergency service requests are determined to be malicious, knowingly false, or frivolous, but only after providing written notice to the business.

Excludes faulty or repeated nonemergency alerts from alarm systems from the bill's protections, meaning municipalities can still penalize businesses for false alarms from security systems.

Adds new section 9-500.54 to Arizona Revised Statutes governing municipal authority over business crime reporting.
