Appropriates $5,000,000 from the state general fund in fiscal year 2026-2027 to the Department of Economic Security for distribution as grants to emergency shelters.

Eligible emergency shelters must not require prescheduled intake appointments and must provide low-barrier emergency shelter for single adults aged 55 or older and families with children under 18.

Qualifying shelters must have 100 or more beds in a noncongregate setting and at least 30 individual units.

Grants are restricted to emergency shelters located within Arizona that meet all specified criteria.
