AZ SB1429

Allows the President of the Arizona Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to designate representatives to serve in their place as ex officio members on the Arizona Commerce Authority board of directors.

Currently both legislative leaders must serve personally as non-voting ex officio members; this amendment permits them to send designees instead.

Makes no changes to the board's 17 voting private sector members, the governor's role as chairperson, or the chief executive officer position.

Retains all other ex officio members including university presidents, community college representative, and various council chairpersons.
