Requires employers to pay all taxable costs, reasonable attorney fees, and expert fees incurred by a law enforcement officer in any superior court action arising from a termination if a hearing officer, administrative law judge, or appeals board determines the termination was without just cause and the employer fails to reinstate the officer

Amends existing provisions regarding retroactive compensation for law enforcement officers who prevail in termination appeals, specifying compensation runs from the date of the officer's separation to the date of reinstatement

Makes technical amendments to update statutory cross-references throughout sections 38-612, 38-1004, and 38-1106 of the Arizona Revised Statutes

Maintains existing caps on attorney fee awards in court proceedings ($15,000) and merit system or civil service plan appeals board proceedings ($10,000) for suspension, demotion, or dismissal cases where officers are exonerated
