Students in grades 1-12 must receive instruction on the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution (including Bill of Rights), focusing on original intent, meaning, and historical context

Curriculum must cover the relationship between Declaration of Independence ideals and topics including immigration/diversity, the American Revolution, Constitution creation, and the abolitionist/women's suffrage movements

Students in grades 3-12 must recite a designated passage from the Declaration of Independence, with exemptions for parental written request, conscientious objection, or children of foreign diplomats with immunity

The State Board of Education must ensure schools do not censor religious references from founding documents and may adopt rules to implement these requirements
