Appropriates $1,316,000 from the Peace Officer Training Equipment Fund in fiscal year 2026-2027 for public safety training simulators to three agencies: Flagstaff Police Department ($328,000), Glendale Police Department ($660,000 for two simulators), and Yavapai County Sheriff's Office ($328,000).

Appropriates $1,523,393 from the same fund to 29 law enforcement agencies across Arizona for pepper ball equipment, with individual allocations ranging from $7,495 (Show Low Police Department) to $200,000 (Tucson Police Department).

Training simulators are intended to teach de-escalation tactics, including interactions with deaf and hard of hearing persons, persons with autism, and persons with mental illness.

Appropriations are exempt from standard lapsing provisions under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-190, allowing funds to remain available beyond the typical expiration period.

Total appropriation of approximately $2.84 million distributed to municipal police departments, county sheriff's offices, tribal police, and Arizona State University police.
