AZ SB1775

Prohibits the Arizona Department of Corrections from entering into inmate telephone service contracts that allow the department to receive revenue exceeding its reasonable operating costs for administering the system.

Specifically bans contracts that include commissions, profit sharing, percentage payments, up-front signing bonuses, or inflated rent payments.

Prohibits agreements that provide technologies unrelated to the actual telephone service as part of compensation.

Adds new section 41-1604.21 to Arizona Revised Statutes governing state corrections operations.
