Requires health care service plan contracts issued, amended, delivered, or renewed on or after July 1, 2011 to cover mammographies for screening or diagnostic purposes when referred by a participating nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwife, physician assistant, or physician.

Requires individual or group health insurance policies issued, amended, delivered, or renewed on or after July 1, 2011 to cover mammographies for screening or diagnostic purposes upon referral by a participating nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwife, physician assistant, or physician.

Allows plans and policies to apply copayment or deductible provisions and does not require coverage of non-participating providers unless referred by a participating provider.

Exempts specialized health insurance, Medicare supplement insurance, short-term limited duration health insurance, CHAMPUS supplement insurance, TRICARE supplement insurance, and hospital indemnity or accident-only insurance from mammography coverage requirements.

Specifies that no state reimbursement is required because costs are limited to changes in crime penalties under Section 17556 of the Government Code.
