Renames the Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.

Increases board membership from 13 to 15 members, adding one geologist/geophysicist professional member and one additional public member appointed by the Governor.

Specifies board composition as 5 professional engineers, 1 land surveyor, 1 geologist/geophysicist, and 8 public members, with Senate Rules Committee and Assembly Speaker each appointing one public member.

Transfers all duties, powers, and jurisdiction of the former Board for Geologists and Geophysicists to the renamed board, along with 2 personnel years of staffing resources.

Board becomes subject to sunset review on January 1, 2012, unless extended by subsequent legislation enacted before that date.
