Requires California ski resorts to prepare annual safety plans conforming to federal regulations applicable to ski resorts operating on federal property.

Mandates ski resorts make safety plans available to the public within 30 days of receiving a request.

Requires ski resorts to provide monthly reports within 30 days of request detailing fatal incidents resulting from recreational activities, including victim age, activity type, cause of death, incident location, and medical facility information (without identifying deceased persons by name or address).

Requires each ski resort to establish its own signage policy for area boundaries, closed areas, slope difficulty levels, and safety information, and its own policy for safety padding or barriers around lift towers and snowmaking equipment near groomed runs.

Becomes operative only if Senate Bill 880 of the 2009-10 Regular Session is also enacted.
