Requires health insurance policies issued, amended, or renewed between July 1, 2011 and December 31, 2013 to provide coverage for maternity services, including prenatal care, ambulatory services, complications of pregnancy, neonatal care, and inpatient hospital maternity care with labor, delivery, and post-partum services.

Mandates that health insurance policies issued, amended, or renewed on or after January 1, 2014 provide maternity services coverage consistent with the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Permits individual health insurance policies issued between July 1, 2011 and January 1, 2014 to include up to a 12-month exclusionary period for maternity services, with credit given for prior creditable coverage if enrollment occurs within 62 days of previous coverage termination.

Requires insurers offering policies with maternity service exclusions to provide a specified notice in 12-point type at the time of solicitation warning that the policy may not cover maternity care for up to 12 months after enrollment.

Exempts specialized insurance, Medicare supplements, short-term limited duration policies, CHAMPUS-supplement, TRI-CARE supplement, hospital indemnity, accident-only, and specified disease insurance from these requirements.
